Good Life starts with three personalities, three areas of expertise, and one shared idea: create places where people feel good, eat well, and want to stay.
Paulo, the boss.
The one who knows (almost) how to do it all. He spots venues, imagines them, transforms them, takes care of them. Deeply involved in both admin and construction, he's the silent pillar of the group, the one laying solid foundations behind every Good Life address.
Darius, finance & strategy director.
Discreet but omnipresent. He sees everything, anticipates everything, structures everything. At the crossroads of strategic vision and operations, he secures decisions and calls the shots when needed. Some call him Chuck Norris. Nobody has ever seen him blink.
Péo, public relations director.
A well-known face of Lille's cultural scene, he embodies the festive and generous soul of the group. A lover of great bottles, he oversees the wine list in every venue. Corsican on weekends, Lillois during the week, always at a table, never far away.
Good Life is a story that begins at night, long before it reaches the plate.
It all started at Magazine Club in Lille. At the time, the idea was simple: offer alternative yet unifying music programming, bringing together thousands of dancers around a promise that has never left the group: do things seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously.
In 2014, with no experience in hospitality but unwavering conviction, Good Life took its first steps into food with Mother. A canteen that feels like home, a generous bar, simple, honest and tasty cooking. Just like at mum's, but with better company. Beers and burgers are the main characters.
In 2017, meetings with producers multiplied. The group discovered aged meat. The shock was so great that one thing became obvious: it had to be shared. Babe was born, with a strong idea: put sourcing and product quality at the centre of the plate, stepping in as little as possible. Let the raw ingredient speak. Since then, Babe has become a reference, positioned as the first real meat restaurant in Lille.
In 2019, after a memorable meal at Yves Camdeborde's, a new desire emerged: create a bistro where gastronomy flirts with street food. A timeless place where the menu is written on the wall, where classics are reinvented, and where you lose track of where you started… or when you'll stop. Britney lives in the future, in creativity and comfort.
In late 2022, Goody Goody opened as a pop-up bar. The experience lasted, settled in, and is now ready to write a new chapter. In April 2026, Madonna becomes Britney's neighbour. Madonna is a bar pizzeria, a restaurant where the party starts at the table and continues in the atmosphere. The ovens fire up, the playlists spin, the big tables fill. You come to eat, laugh, drink, and often stay longer than planned. Madonna is a hybrid place, between bar, restaurant and social hub, true to Good Life's DNA: pleasure, rhythm, and above all, people around the table.
Each opening is the result of an encounter between a genuine desire, a well-timed property opportunity and the intuition that a venue can become more than just a restaurant or a bar. Never one without the other.
Today, the group pursues a clear vision: consolidate, grow what exists, and keep creating places that leave a mark, without ever losing their soul.
Good Life is a group of restaurants in Lille and its metropolitan area, but above all a certain idea of the good life.
At Good Life, we love when tables are big, plates are full, and conversations get a little too lively. We firmly believe the best moments happen around a great meal, in places where you feel at ease, welcomed, and free to take your time. In Lille, this conviviality is part of the DNA. At our place, it's non-negotiable.
Good Life cooking is generous, sincere and thoughtful. Thoughtful, because our menus are designed to meet cravings throughout the year, while evolving with the seasons. Alive, because it adapts to available products and encounters with our producers. And above all honest: no unnecessary artifice, no fake bistronomy. Just great products, properly sourced, and treated with respect.
Good Life stands for cooking that's both accessible and uncompromising. Food that brings joy without trying to impress for the wrong reasons. In Lille and its metropolitan area, we prefer places that last to fleeting concepts, spot-on plates to technical showmanship, and restaurants you return to over ones you tick off a list.
Our venues are designed as true living places. Restaurants in Lille where you can have lunch or linger into the evening, share dishes, bottles, laughs, and sometimes put the world to rights. Each address has its own personality, but all share the same standards: quality cooking, a lively atmosphere, and real attention to the customer experience.
Our line is simple: never be boring. Not on the plate, not in the atmosphere, not in intention. Good Life is not just a group of restaurants in Lille.
It's a way of hosting, cooking, sharing, and enjoying. In Lille, and far beyond the plate. A philosophy made of conviviality, big tables, sharing and indulgence. Here, we eat together, drink together, we take our time. The soul of the place matters as much as what's on the plate.
Good Life is also a complete, structured team that's essential to the smooth running of every restaurant.
In the kitchen, head chefs, sous-chefs, chefs de partie and commis get to work from the early hours. Their mission: turn great products into plates that make people want to come back. No room for nearly-there: we taste, we adjust, we start again. The pace is intense, the standards high, but satisfaction arrives when the dining room goes quiet… because everyone is eating.
On the floor, managers, supervisors, servers and bartenders are the conductors of the experience. Welcoming with a smile, advising without overwhelming, timing service right, handling the unexpected with calm (or humour). They set the tempo, create the vibe and turn a simple dinner into a proper evening.
In support, the executive chef, HR and events communications keep watch behind the scenes. Structure, organise, anticipate, recruit, tell the story of our venues, keep the brand alive. Less visible, but absolutely essential so everything runs smoothly, everywhere, all the time.
